DIM Complex

DIM is an abbreviation for Diindolylmethane, which is a naturally occurring compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and kale.

DIM helps the liver to break estrogen down.  Excess estrogen (aka “estrogen dominance”) can contribute to a number of symptoms, including weight gain, irregular menses, fibroids, fibrocystic breast disease, anxiety and other hormone related symptoms.  Some cancers are also stimulated by excess estrogen.

The liver breaks estrogen down into “metabolites”.  There are some metabolites that are healthier than others.  DIM encouragers the liver to break estrogen down via the healthier pathways.
